Why Summer Camps France is Growing Popular?

Have you ever wondered why thousands of kids lave their home every summer to attend the summer camps France? Curiously enough, their parents love to see them attend the camps. While the summer vacation is that part of the academic year when the children get time to relax, summer camps France make the best option to have fun and simultaneously learn almost everything starting from various games to different languages like French. Although the history of summer camps traces its origin way back in early 1900s, these days, camps of almost all types have flourished that cater to international crowd. Summer camps France encourage children from all over the world to come together and join the special activities in the camps. Apart from gaining recognition for knowing the diversity of the multicultural world, the children learn to enhance their communication skill while making new friendships.

Most of the kids have dormant talents, but they don’t find proper ground to flourish their skill in the regular study pattern of the schools. Summer camps France form perfect setting for the kids with varied course modules where the participants get chance to select the subject they are interested in. Besides, summer camps are one of the opportunities where the students get chance to come out of their shell and socialize. The busy schedules of the parents keep them restrained from spending quality time with their children, though the parents want a healthy, joyous and fulfilled life for the children. Moreover, the summer camps France develop social qualities and skill in the participants that make them equipped with the world as they grow up.

The summer camps France adapt various methods to develop the self awareness of the individual with their educational, supplementary and personality development activity. The camping programs are tailored to develop a monitored and positive environment with experienced staff members and pleasure learning modules. Spending time away from their parents, the campers learn to become responsible and learn to take their own decisions. While most of the summer camps France provide French language course for the participants, the participants get a fertile ground for learning a second language with all its linguistic aspects like reading, writing, listening and speaking. The camps also encourage interpersonal communication skills among the participants so as to give them a friendly environment where they can prosper with their skill.

Summer camps France work wonder in shaping the personality of the individual. The momentous experience work wonders in molding their character and help them developing a social skill. The camping can also bring significant change in the behavior of the children. Summer camps France are fast gaining popularity among kids with widely diverse interest and having appetite for experienced-based learning. More and more children are seeking creative and stimulating opportunities through summer camps which are being supported by their parents. Moreover, a certificate of attending a summer camp France adds relevance to the resume of the children proving him suitable for team work in diverse working environment.

Discover the Health Benefits of Surf Camps for Kids

Did you know approximately 10 million kids go to camp each year? A positive summer camp experience can mean everything to a child. Sending your kids to camp is part of the American way of life. When you think of camp, you probably think of roasting marshmallows around the campfire and singing songs. But there is more to the camp experience than that!

Many people seem to considering surfing summer camps in addition to, or as alternative for, traditional summer camps. Surfing (or surf) camps offer all the important benefits that traditional camps offer, such as the opportunity to make new friends and increase self-confidence and esteem. But surf camps offer something more: incredible health benefits for kids.

Not only is surfing a total blast and easily learned with a qualified instructor, but when kids go to surf camp, they get a total body workout from cardiovascular exercise to arm and leg strength to learning how to increase their balance.

When kids paddle out on their surfboards toward the ocean to catch a wave, they are developing upper body strength (including their arms, chest and shoulders), plus they are getting a nice cardiovascular workout.

Then, when they are actually surfing, they are using their leg muscles and developing important balance skills.

There are several sites on the Internet to find surf camps for your kids. You can do a general search for “kids surf camps” on Google. Or, or you can visit a site-specific search engine like Surf Camp Search.com where you will find many available surf camps for kids and teens everywhere in the United States and abroad.

It doesn’t matter if your child is a beginning surfer or experienced and learning to pick up tips from a pro, there’s a safe and fun surf camp out there for you…plus, the health benefits can’t be denied!

Hike from Bray to Greystones, Ireland

On your next visit to Dublin, consider a day trip south to the popular seaside towns of Bray and Greystones. A great way to visit both places is to hike the beautiful coastal path between the two. The 6 mile (10 km) trip takes 4 or more hours at a slow pace and offers stunning views of the rugged coastline.

I do have to warn you that periodically, the cliff walk is officially closed due to erosion and possible falling rocks. I have taken my children on the trail and also have gone alone. On two of the trips, there has been a sign at the start warning of possible danger near the path’s edge.

My hiking strategy is to be careful and stay a safe distance from the cliffs. This is always a good practice when visiting Ireland’s rugged and gorgeous coastal areas. Please be advised that you should use your own judgment when deciding whether to take the cliff walk from Bray to Greystones.

To visit Bray, you may start at any DART train station in Dublin and go south. Bray is only about 5 miles (7 km) from the southern suburb of Dun Laoghaire. The train ride gives you a sampling of the coastline as you move farther from the city. If you stay on the train, Greystones will be your next stop.

When you get off the DART in Bray, walk toward the beach and you will see plenty of shops where you can pick up some water and a snack for the hike. Walk south along the beach and you will soon see the way to the coastal path.

The beachfront promenade at Bray is 1 mile (2 km) in length. A boardwalk goes much of the distance and is a nice place to stroll even when you don’t want to take a long hike to the next town.

The Bray seafront was built in the 1880s and was a popular resort destination for Dubliners and other Europeans for decades. Dublin residents began to move to Bray to get out of the city and many tourists continue to visit the scenic town each summer.

There has been a carnival located south of the beach toward the trail on a few of my trips to Bray. My children and I went for a ferris wheel ride before starting our hike.

A short way into the hike south of Bray you will find a path up the hill to “Bray Head”. It is worth the effort to make your way up to see the view of the land and seascape, including the town of Bray to the north and the Wicklow Mountains to the south and west. Bray Head is 791 feet (241 m) above the sea. A concrete cross is situated at the summit; it was erected in 1950 for the holy year.

You will have many photo opportunities along the trail near Bray. Wildflowers grow along the path, the coastline is beautiful and you can always document the hike with pictures of yourself and your friends.

If you do hike from Bray to Greystones, you will see an old tunnel, called the Brabazon Tunnel, which was abandoned in the 1870s. You will see an arch on the sea side of the path, which is from an old railway station. You will walk by the former site of the 15th century Rathdown Castle. You will also see the succession of tunnels used by the current DART train. The coastal cliff views are dramatic and breathtaking.

You can stop along the path to rest and have a snack. When you reach Greystones, you can see the development to the south and know that the Dublin suburbs are expanding each year.

You may end your hike with a nice dinner at one of the restaurants or pubs in Greystones, or in Bray if you decide not to hike the whole distance. I always like to relax with a meal after a hike and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment and a day of fresh air. When you are finished, find your way to the DART station and head back to Dublin. Enjoy!

Ha ling peak hike – Canmore Alberta (Chinaman’s peak)

In western Alberta lies one of the most spectacular mountain ranges, the Rockies. People from all over the world flock to these mountains every year to get a glimpse of their beauty. Many people after seeing these mountains decide they don’t want to leave and hike their peaks for many years. Hiking the Rockies can be very dangerous, challenging but also very rewarding. Most people who Hike the Rockies will strive to ascend as many peaks as possible. One of the Rockies most famously hiked peaks is the Ha ling peak formally known as Chinaman’s peak.

Ha ling peak is located in Canmore Alberta and is one of the most stunning peaks in the mountain range. When driving to the base of ha ling peak it is not hard to see it as it stands out like a sore thumb. Looking up at it can be very intimidating because it is definitely something that looks like it cannot be conquered. The ha ling peak hike has a variety of different terrain in which during your ascent you will come across. The hike begins with a lot of tree coverage and a trail with many roots exposed. Then has the tree line begins to appear there is a lot of loose rock and very small trees spaced out amongst the terrain. Watch out for loose rocks and possible rock slides coming from above. Once the tree line disappears you will be faced with no real trail and about a 300 yard scramble for the peak. The final ascent is all loose rock and making your own trail up to the peak is the norm. Once you make it to the top the view is absolutely amazing! You can see down into a valley on one side and many peaks on the other side.

Boot Camp Workout Benefits For Women

The Benefits of Boot Camp Workouts for Women

Until recent times, few women thought of boot camp workouts as a solution to their fitness and weight loss problems, but recently the many benefits of fitness boot camps have prompted more women to reexamine the advantages of enrolling in boot camp to get into shape. No matter what your current fitness level is, it is difficult to beat the many health benefits women can receive with a regular boot camp workout.

One of the main motivating factors in women choosing fitness boot camp to help them get into shape and lose weight is that fitness boot camp offers one of the best workouts for weight loss – even if you’ve had problems losing weight before. A well-designed boot camp class will offer a progression of each exercise for novice, intermediate and advanced boot camp participants. As you gain fitness and strength, the progressive difficulty of each exercise will continue to challenge you

One reason that boot camp workouts work so well for weight loss and toning muscle is that these fitness workouts are based on exercise science and physiology, using the proven techniques of resistance and cardiovascular training, as well as specific weight training exercises. Building muscle is essential to boosting the body’s metabolism and effectively and efficiently losing weight by burning more calories throughout the day.

Another reason that fitness boot camps are such a great way to get into shape and lose weight is that they provide structure and consistency. Without having structure to your fitness program, and consistently participating, your chances of reaching your goal of having a great looking and fit body are greatly reduced. With a fitness boot camp, not only are the workouts intense enough to provide you with the results you want, but you will find that the personal trainers and instructors help provide the necessary motivation to keep you consistent.

Fitness boot camps also provide significant health benefits. One of the most important health concerns for women is heart disease; so cardiovascular health should be one of the main goals when choosing an exercise program. Boot camp workouts provide enough cardio exercise to help keep a heart healthy and reducing the chance of suffering a heart attack or stroke. Another benefit of the boot camp classes is the decreasing risk of osteoporosis by improving bone density. The weight-bearing exercises often found in a boot camp workout are important in increasing a woman’s bone density.

Time management is another attractive feature of fitness boot camp for women. In most cases one can get a vigorous total body workout in a short 45 minute to one-hour session while burning over 700 calories. These workouts are usually far better than other exercise programs that take twice as long to participate in. This high-calorie burning workout is an advantage to the modern woman who is often short on time.

The benefits of fitness boot camps are for women of all fitness levels. If you are looking for an effective method of getting into shape, consider enrolling in a fitness boot camp for one of the best ways to lose weight and shapeup.

Outdoor Hiking Supplies

Outdoor Hiking Supplies Gear List

Making a list of the gear you need is the surest way to avoid being caught on trail or at the camp site, suddenly noticing that you’ve left an essential piece of equipment behind.

Most hikers will generally agree that the following items are outdoor hiking supplies that they could not be without.

Hiking boots/shoes – Make sure that you have a dedicated pair of footwear which are only used for hiking. Hiking boots generally offer more protection and durability, but hiking or trail running shoes offer more flexibility and will often dry quicker than a pair of heavy boots. Some hikers have even gone the rout of hiking sandals, depending on the terrain they’ll be crossing, which allow for maximum ventilation and comfort.
Backpack – When it comes to backpacks, there are two main factors you should take into account. The first is size. You want to make sure that your pack is large enough to carry the gear you’ve decided to take with you. The second consideration is the most important: comfort. Your pack must be fit properly to you and be comfortable, or you will regret ever filling it up and slinging it on your back when you hit the trail.
Clothing – Make sure that you carry as little clothing as possible, and the lightest clothing possible, that will still allow you to remain comfortable and maintain a safe body temperature depending on the weather and the climate of your hiking location.
First aid kit – A first aid kit is one of those outdoor hiking supplies that I consider necessary. Make sure that you carry the minimum of bandaids, blister covers, Neosporin, medical tape, painkillers, and bug spray. These are what I take with me.
Compass – Most hikers enjoy having a compass with them because if you know how to read a map and have a compass, then you gain the ability to always have a pretty good idea of where you are and where you are going.
Flashlight – A simple piece of gear that can make all the difference. Remember that while camping it is absolutely dark at night. A flashlight makes all of those nighttime tasks that much easier. And it’s quite enjoyable to read a book to the sound of the great in the wild before going to sleep.
Food – There is a great deal of “hiker food” available to buy online and in your local sporting goods store, but any food that you are willing to carry which is high in fat and protein will keep you going.
Swiss army knife/multi tool – The best reason to carry one of these is because you never really know when you’re going to need one. With a multi tool you can cut cordage, open cans, and even clip off bits of bandaid so that they fit around your aching blistered toes.
Rope/cordage – Bring some of this along to make sure that you can always properly guy out your tent or shelter. Also you can use cordage to hang wet things on your pack, hang your food at night, and even make small repairs to your gear.
Camera – Lastly, a small camera can make the difference between a great experience and a great experience that you can relive for years to come. I find that a small disposable camera works best because you break or lose it, you’re only out a few dollars. But the satisfaction of having those memories on film, for me makes it worth it to carry one along every time.

So that’s it. There are many other outdoor hiking supplies that a person might bring on trail, but just remember that the most common mistake made by so many beginner hikers is bringing too much stuff. Stay light, and enjoy the in the wild!

Follow The Rules Of Hiking Safety

There is the most wonderful place my husband and I love to camp for hiking. Just the name of it gets our minds in the mode of running free and unencumbered by life’s problems and stresses. When we go to this special place, we are like wild nature children running along with the creeks that meander down and into what is called Wild Horse Canyon.

The trails are somewhat steep, rocky and lined with mosses and all sorts of little growing things and not far from the campsites. It takes about an hour to get to the top of a huge waterfall that empties into the canyon. Sometimes when there is a dry season, we can hike all the way to the bottom, which is even steeper and harder to navigate. One day last year we camped there for a weekend and decided to take a hike into the canyon on a beautiful spring morning. I packed a picnic lunch and loaded everything including a camera into our backpacks. I noticed at the beginning of the trail that there was a stick that someone had leaned up against one of the gigantic Pine trees along the trail. I thought to myself, what a neat and perfect walking stick, so I grabbed it on the way into the trail. I have never used a walking stick before and this was purely on impulse. We hiked around streams flowing pretty full since we had a lot of spring rain.

It was such a beautiful day. We had just about reached the bottom or as it were, the top of the waterfall. My husband had gone ahead and already crossed the little pool at the shallowest part. Just as I was about to cross, I broke the number one cardinal rule of hiking – watching where you are going. I had looked up and stepped on a rock and landed hard in the water. I knew I had a very bad ankle sprain and was in excruciating pain. After resting a moment and trying to gather my thoughts, it suddenly dawned on me that we were at the bottom and had to climb back out. We realized our cell phones did not work that deep into the canyon and hills. Great. Since we had hiked there so many times, we knew of a short cut back to cut where we could get a car into. So, after convincing my husband I could make it to the road by myself while he went for the car, and after all, I had a walking stick that some kind person had just ‘happened’ to leave for me, we started the climb. I didn’t realize how difficult that was going to be and could not have made it out without that walking stick. The ending of the story is that I had a severe sprained ankle and had to use crutches for several weeks.

So, first rule of hiking safety is to watch where you are going and be aware at all times of your surroundings. Carry a small first aid kit, water and a little snack. Wear a good pair of hiking boots (I think this really saved my ankle from being broken). Think, think, think before you step. A rock or a tree root, loose dirt, could cause a life threatening injury if you were to trip and tumble downhill. Being aware of every step will also help you avoid stepping on any snakes. Always hike with a buddy, take breaks to rest and pace yourself. Besides, taking a break gives you an opportunity to really look at your surroundings and “smell the flowers.” Stay on the trail and don’t venture off into the wild places unless you absolutely know what you are doing. Let someone know where you are going. Don’t fill your backpack too full – just take what is necessary and ‘just in case’ items like a small flashlight, maybe a sweater, and don’t forget to check the weather. Having a small emergency preparedness kit or first aid kit is always a good thing, even for short hikes. In case of a chance of rain, include light rain gear.

Oh – and don’t forget the walking stick!
